On Friday night and Saturday morning, 27 arrests were made in patrols targeting Rockford’s high crime areas.
During the detail, 107 traffic stops were made resulting in 48 citations, 60 written warnings and 27 arrests. There were five fleeing to elude arrests, two controlled substance arrests, three cannabis arrests, two driving with a suspended license arrests and one DUI arrest.
Five people were arrested for outstanding warrants and nine were arrested on miscellaneous charges. In addition, two vehicles, $2,000 cash and one shotgun were seized.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois State Police, Rockford Police, Winnebago Police, Loves Park Police and Department of Homeland Security all assisted in the crime detail.
