Attention animal lovers! The Winnebago County Animal Services is waiving adoption fees for it’s ‘Clear the Shelter’ event on Saturday, August 18th.
WCAS is offering waived adoptions on cats and dogs, 6 months or older, at the 4517 North Main Street facility from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Adoptions will include a free exam, spay or neuter, microchip, vaccinations including one year rabies shot, flea and tick preventive, and more.
In order to adopt, an approved adoption application and state-issued photo ID.
“We are excited to see our adoptable cats and dogs find happy, loving homes on August 18th,” says Adoption Coordinator Donna Apgar. “We are hoping to see lots of empty cages and happy adopters with this event. Last year, we adopted 50 cats and dogs in one day.”
