Winnebago Teachers Reach Deal with School District

News

Winnebago School District teachers will not go on strike after all.

The Winnebago Education Association reached a tentative deal with the school board Thursday night.  The contract still needs to be ratified by both sides.

This comes just a week after the union announced its intent to strike on September 10th.  They’d been working without a contract since last August.  The main issued centered on wages.

No word yet on the terms of the deal.
