Wisconsin sales tax holiday set to begin Wednesday

Back to school shopping could be a bit cheaper in Wisconsin this year, thanks to the state’s 5-day sales tax holiday, set to begin Wednesday.

The tax holiday was signed by Gov. Scott Walker and applies to clothing, school supplies, and even computers.

The state is expected to miss out on nearly $15 million.

However, the tax exemption comes with plenty of strings attached: clothing must cost less than $75; computers must cost $750 or less and be for personal use; each school supply item must cost less than $75.
