Woman Hurt During Carjacking

Shortly after 9p.m. Friday night Rockford Police responded to the 2100 block of 23rd St. for an aggravated vehicular hijacking.

On arrival police spoke to a female victim who says she was giving a ride to two young females, when she was struck in the head with what she believed was a handgun.

She was then forced out of her car and the two female suspects fled in with the victims black 2007 Buick Rendezvous,with Illinois license plate number Q296709. The suspects are described to be two black females between the ages of 13 and 15.

One suspect was wearing a green sweatshirt and the other a gray sweatshirt. Anyone with information on the vehicle are advised to contact Rockford Police, and not to approach the vehicle. No injuries were reported in the incident.
