When it comes to working moms, Wisconsin does it better than Illinois. ‘WalletHub’ ranked Wisconsin as the 14th best state for working moms. The badger state received high marks for work-life balance. But, also had one of the highest childcare costs in the country.
Illinois came in at 18th. It scored points for day-care quality and median salary. But, high childcare costs weighed its ranking down. Overall Vermont is considered to be the best state to work and be a mom. According to ‘WalletHub’, it has the most professional opportunities available to working mothers in the U.S.
