The Rockford Chapter of the YMCA is doing its part to get a one year-old girl elected as our nation’s president.

It helped launch the “Zoe For President” campaign.  It’s part of a nationwide effort to help children reach their full potential, which includes making sure they’re reading at their grade level, have a mentor, and are prepared for college and beyond.

“The Y is not a building.  The Y is not four walls.  The Y is an organization that seeks to impact people throughout the community and serve the community that it’s in,” said Trisha Tousant, Senior Director of Operations at the YMCA.

The Y says Zoe could potentially run for President in 2064.  However, they hope Zoe inspires children across the nation to never settle and reach for their dreams.
