The Bears will in fact have a representative in this year’s NFL Pro Bowl.
Rookie running back Jordan Howard has been named as an alternate for injured Cardinals running back David Johnson.
Howard is coming off the best statistical season ever by a Bears rookie running back. His 1,313 yards rushing set a franchise record, that number is also the second most rushing yards in the NFL this season behind only Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Howard won the final NFC Rookie of the Month award for his superb finish to the 2016 season that included 547 yards and four touchdowns.
The honor ends a good season on a high note for the 22-year old back.
