2018-19 was the season of the East E-Rabs in NIC-10 boys basketball. Will 2019-20 be the season of the Boylan Titans?
The guess here is Boylan will be the favorite going into next season. The Titans have six key players returning from what was the second winningest team in the conference this season. That group includes the Titans’ best two players Johnny Close and center Anthony Brown. Also returning will be Jon Starck, Dayvion Foreman, Andrew Latino and Jack Fulling. That’s a talented and experienced group.
That doesn’t mean the Titans will be a slam dunk to win the conference like East was this season. The NIC-10 should be strong and very balanced. East won’t disappear. The E-Rabs will return two incredible talents in Sincere Parker and ‘Biggie’ Luster. Plus they bring back some other very good players who simply couldn’t get much playing time this season behind that talented starting lineup.
Belvidere North brings everybody back next season. Guilford has an excellent nucleus returning that includes Jack Holmstrom and Tyler Knuth.
Jefferson will also return a lot of talent including Latrell Graham, De’Ario Newble, George Williams and Jaquavion Robinson.
You know Bryan Ott will have Auburn in the mix especially with Josh Ausler and Javin Davis returning. And although Harlem graduates a lot of talent, Mike Winters will push the Huskies to be competitive. And Mike Miller always gets the most out of the talent he has at Hononegah.
A lot can happen between now and November from transfers to injuries to coaching changes, but as of March 18th the Boylan Titans are the pick here.
