The seniors from Forreston high school’s football team got an up close look at the Bears-Packers rivalry Sunday. The Cardinals were honored for their state championship during halftime of the Bears-Packers game.
The Cardinals got to watch pregame warmups from on the field on the Bears’ sideline. Then at halftime they were introduced and ran out one of the stadium tunnels onto the field.
“It’s really something special just seeing the pro guys on the field. It’s an experience,” said Forrestion senior Hunter Rogers. “They’re not as big as they look on TV, but they’re still pretty big.”
“It’s my first Bears game yea. I’ve been to Lambeau a couple times though. It’s really cool,” said Forreston senior lineman Mitchell Heinz.
Forreston won the class 1A state championship Thanksgiving weekend by dominating Camp Point Central 44-6.
