One of the NIC-10’s top pitchers is jumping to the division one college level. Guilford’s Max Klein has signed with Indiana State.
Klein is a hard-throwing lefty who is just completing his first year at Guilford after transferring from Christian Life. He held a signing ceremony Monday in Guilford’s gymnasium.
“What really sold me (on Indiana State) was the coaching staff and all the players,” says Klein. “They’re just great. They have both the fields I plan on studying if I want to which is engineering and business. They have both of those.”
So will Indiana State used Klein as a starter or in relief?
“No idea yet,” says Klein. “I’m just going to go up there. Play it out and see how it goes.”
