Haverly Named Lutheran’s Volleyball Coach

One of the Stateline’s biggest names in girls’ volleyball is switching schools.

Jordan Haverly has been named the head girls volleyball coach at Rockford Lutheran High School.  Haverly attended Keith  School in Rockford and she led Keith to a state runner-up finish her senior year in 2007-08.  She then went on to star at Indiana.

Last fall she was the head girls’ volleyball coach at her alma mater. She guided Keith to 30 wins and to a regional championship. Now she’s taking on a new challenge of elevating an already solid Lutheran program.

“It’s a family atmosphere here which is something that I’m really big on,” said Haverly explaining one of the things that attracted her to Lutheran. “That it’s a student-athlete. It’s not just focused on all school or all volleyball. I’m definitely going to miss Keith. It’s my alma matter, but I think for me professionally this is just the next step in my coaching career.”
