“Every year it’s a big dream for us especially because we’re seniors now we’re pushing for that and pushing for that,” says Reyes.
“We’ll definitely, hopefully win the NIC-10 and then exceed after that but you can only hope for the best,” says Schiro.
Boylan has also announced that for the first time it’ll host a girls holiday basketball tournament right after Christmas. It’ll be called the ‘Reindeer Games.’ Eight schools will participate including Aquin, Beloit Memorial, Belvidere North, Grayslake North, Woodstock Marian, McHenry and Winnebago.
“It’s going to be a great opportunity,” says Boylan coach Paul Perrone. “I’ve hosted tournaments before and to host a tournament at Boylan and to do it for the Rockford area it’s going to be fun and we’re going to make it a unique, classy tournament.”
