Boylan’s success at grinding out wins this season ended Tuesday night. The Titans came up short at the 3A Hoffman Estates Super-Sectional losing to North Chicago 69-55.
The Titans finish the season with 22 wins, a sectional crown and a NIC-10 co-championship. Not bad for a team that wasn’t picked to achieve a great deal this season…at least not by Boylan standards.
“I’m incredibly proud of these seniors that were doubted from day one,” said head coach Brett McAllister after the game. “Since the group last year graduated…not only for them to win the NIC-10, but to win at Hononegah MLK, and then win a regional, and a sectional and then to be battling in this game. That’s a testament to our seniors and this group this year continuing to fight.”
