4th Annual Antonio Little Memorial Tournament goes down at Rockford’s Sports Factory

Four years ago, former South Beloit High School basketball standout Antonio Little died in a drowning incident. He continues to be remembered with a basketball tournament in his name.

The fourth annual Antonio Little Memorial Tournament was played on Saturday at the Sports Factory in Rockford. Kids and adults squared off in a series of 3v3 and 5v5 games.

The men’s 5v5 championship game featured “Team Blackout” in the black jerseys, led by former Jefferson and Rock Valley College stars Jared Mayes and L.T. Davis. In the blue jerseys were the defending champions “Champs are Here”, led by Rockford’s Box brothers, Joel and Isaiah.

The game went down to the wire. “Team Blackout” edged “Champs are Here” 61-60. Click the media player to watch highlights.
