Lots of local high school ballers spent their Saturday at the inaugural “Battle for the Castle” tournament at Auburn High School in Rockford. Aside from Auburn, local schools participating included Hononegah, Harlem, Stockton, Guilford, Stillman Valley, Rockford East, Zion-Benton, Dundee-Crown, Peoria Manuel, and Normal. Clinton High School also came to play from Wisconsin. At least 10 NCAA prospects were at the tournament.
Hononegah took third place after beating Normal 31-24. Dundee-Crown left as the inaugural champs, taking down Clinton 42-25. Click the video for highlights.
