Bickell Lighting It Up For The IceHogs

Bryan Bickell was in a funk with the Blackhawks in Chicago, but he’s been All-World since being assigned to the IceHogs.

Through five games with the Hogs Bickell has eight points (4 goals, 4 assists). He admits he has taken on more of a scorers mentality since joining the IceHogs.

“I know here from up there it was going to be a different kind of roles,” says Bickell. “Here it’s more, I know I want to shoot in both leagues, but to get more shots off in this league to hopefully get in good habits. You know it’s different. There’s no Patrick Kane or Jonathan Toews and all of those Superstars. That’s their job and when I go back up or if it does, I know what I need to play is my physical game and give them ice, and for down here I’ve just got to keep on going, shooting, skating and hitting when the opportunity comes.”

Bickell and the Hogs will next take the IceHogs Friday night in Milwaukee.
