Blackhawks Ship Wingels To Boston

In their second trade on deadline day the Chicago Blackhawks acquire a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft from the Boston Bruins in exchange for forward Tommy Wingels.

Wingels, 29, has 13 points (7g, 5a) in 57 games for the Blackhawks in the 2017-18 season.

Wingels has skated in 430 career NHL games with Chicago, Ottawa and San Jose, compiling 60 goals and 78 assists for 138 points. The 29-year-old forward has also appeared in 54 career postseason games, tallying two goals and six assists for eight points.

The Evanston, Illinois native was originally selected by San Jose in the sixth round (177th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
