Jim Caldwell will have an easier time keeping focused on the Lions playoff games with the Seahawks this weekend.
The Lions announced Wednesday that the Beloit native will be retained for next season.
Caldwell’s future in Detroit came into question when the Lions lost their last three regular season games and settled for second place in the NFC North behind the Packers.
Caldwell has guided the Lions for two season. During that time they’ve won 22 games and lost 21. Twice they’ve made the playoffs.
