The IceHogs are ready to welcome forward Phillip Danault to the ice for the first time this season. He’s expected to see his first game action during the team’s upcoming four game road trip to Texas.
Danault has been recovering from offseason hip surgery. He says the injury plagued him all last season. He still managed to play in 70 games. He scored 13 goals and he had 25 assists.
He’s eager to finally suit up and to play pain-free.
“I was playing good last year too, but when you’re healthy it’s always better,” says Danault. “In your head you don’t have any bad thinking, any negativity that you have to think about, so now I just have positivity to think, so I’ll try to stay positive and play every shift one at a time.”
