Danny Gorman wins the 47th Seth B. Atwood Golf Classic by seven strokes on Sunday.
After being the only golfer to finish under par on Saturday with a 71, Gorman’s 72 on Sunday clinched him his first Atwood Classic championship.
“You just kind of have to make a mental note from the day before where these ridges are because they were not in easy places,” says Gorman. “So you just got to be aware when your out on the course just of other holes too. Hopefully this kind of spring boards me to the rest of the season, and get a few more wins.”
Finishing behind him was Jeff Holmgard, and Garrett Ralston who both finished the tournament at 155 (+6).
Ron Reece’s 151 (+7), and Kyle Slattery’s 152 (+8) round out the top five.
History was made at Atwood Homestead. Melissa Vansistine becomes the first women’s Atwood Classic Champion with a pair of 77s this weekend.
