David Ross was introduced as the new Cubs’ manager Monday morning. The former Cubs catcher becomes the 55th manager in Cubs’ history.
Theo Epstein described Ross as someone who has a “proactive approach to leadership,” and someone who is “Aware of the ingredients of a winning environment.”
Ross said he’s had his eye on managing his entire career.
Ross spent two seasons as a backup catcher for the Cubs including their 2016 World Series Championship season.
