E-Rabs celebrate after ending NIC-10 championship drought

ROCKFORD - They were cutting down the nets Friday night at East High School. The E-Rabs clinched the school's first NIC-10 Championship in boys basketball in 38 years.
The E-Rabs defeated the Belvidere Bucs 77-56 to ignite the celebration. The win boosted the E-Rabs' conference record to 15-0. They have a four game lead over the field with only three conference games remaining.
East head coach Roy Sackmaster joined a rare group of men who have won NIC-10 championships as a player (when he was at Boylan) and now as a head coach.
