Drake Robison will play professional baseball.
Robison, a Harlem High School graduate, played college ball at the University of Iowa and has signed with the Windy City Thunderbolts of the Frontier League
“Everybody loved having [Robison] around. He’s a great kid, and we had nothing but trust handing him the ball every six days,” Rivets Manager Brian Smith said, “He did everything we expected him to do – compete in the zone and help us win.”
Last year with the Rivets, Robison led the team in wins with seven and had a 4.48 ERA in 13 appearances. In his senior year at Iowa, he was 4-2 with a 6.10 ERA in 20 games.
