Harlem girls repeat as sectional bowling champions


As usual, it was a packed house for the girls sectional bowling tournament at Don Carter Lanes in Rockford on Saturday. Harlem advances to state once again, after winning the sectional tournament with a total of 6,320 pins. Harlem’s senior Becca Hagerman was also the individual champion with 1,362 pins.

Coming along for the trip to state is Sycamore who came in second (5,901 pins) and Freeport who came in fourth (5,477 pins). Also advancing to state are Guilford’s senior Carrie Minnier (1,317 pins), East’s senior Tegan Peterson (1,289), and Auburn’s sophomore Caitlyn Bannister (1,266).
