One of the Stateline’s and one of the State’s top high school bowlers is joining the top collegiate men’s program in the country.
Harlem senior Jacob Nimtz has signed a letter of intent with McKendree University near St. Louis. McKendree is the reining Intercollegiant Men’s National Champion.
Nimtz was the individual state bowling champion two years ago as a sophomore. He’s off to a great start this season. He has already broken the Harlem and the NIC-10 record for the highest six-game total (1534).
“I’ve worked very hard throughout my bowling career and I’m just ready to show everyone what I’m about in college,” says Nimtz.

“It was a good move for him (signing with McKendree), says Harlem coach Nick Whitmire. “I know his parents and all the coaches he’s had are excited about it because that program is excelling at great speeds.”
