The Huskies are working out in San Diego preparing for Wednesday’s Poinsettia Bowl. The temperature has been in the mid-60s.
Much of the focus has been on how redshirt quarterback Ryan Graham is practicing. He missed the MAC Championship game because of a leg injury, but he will start Wednesday.
Head coach Rod Carey plans to ease Graham back into the flow of things.
“You’re going to manage it by getting him into the flow and getting his blood flowing a little bit, more than asking him to drop back and throw 55 times in the game. We’re probably going to ask him to do some things that he can and let the other guys around him play,” says Carey.
“I’m really excited to get back in,” says Graham. “I love playing this game. I’m a fierce competitor. I want to be perfect in everything that I do. Today was a great day of practice. I’m just ready to get to the game.”
The Huskies will play Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl. The game will kickoff at 3:30 central time Wednesday. It can be seen on ESPN.
