The IceHogs were let out of the barn Wednesday evening.
They practiced outside at Belvidere’s Riverside Ice Arena. They do this once a year.
The practice was open to the public and it drew a good crowd. The players signed autographs for the fans when they were finished.
The IceHogs enjoy the change of pace.
“It’s always fun to do something different,” said defenseman Viktor Svedberg. “Not being in the rink this morning was a little different, and coming up here is obviously a little different…a little bit colder than the BMO so it’s always fun!”
