Jefferson edges East, Tay Lake surpasses 3,000 career rushing yards

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Jefferson beat East 36-34 Friday night in a battle for Rockford bragging rights Friday night.

East running back Tay Lake went over the 3,000 yard rushing mark for his career. (In the video we report that Lake injured his ankle and he won’t be able to play next week. We were provided with incorrect information. We have since been told that Lake’s ankle is fine and he will play next week in the E-Rabs final game.)

The J-Hawks improve to 3-5. The E-Rabs are 2-6.
