The second annual Fred Van Vleet summer camp kicked-off Saturday at the UW Health Sports Factory.
Campers were put to work in the first day of two in downtown Rockford.
“I learned how to ball handle,” says camper Brian Harper. “I learned how to dribble with two balls, and I learned how to shoot better.”
The day started with drills, and excersies then it ended with some competition. Kids of different ages and genders were on the same team, and it made for some good fun.
“It’s a fun activity and you learn things,” says Destiny Robinson. “You learn new things that you didn’t know, and you experience new things.”
The camp wraps up Sunday morning.
