Local Wrestlers Shine at Dvorak


Six local wrestlers are still in the hunt in the Stateline’s biggest high school wrestling tournament.

The two-day Dvorak Tournament began Tuesday at Harlem High School. 34 schools are represented including in-state powers like Lombard Montini and Mt. Carmel plus schools from Florida and Iowa.

Through the first day Lake Highland Prep in Florida is in first place with 122 points. Hononegah had a strong showing. The Indians sit in fifth place.

Following are the local wrestlers who have advanced to Wednesday’s semifinals plus the team standings.
