Dean Lowry’s status as one of the top players in the Big Ten has been cemented by him being named All-Big Ten Second team.
He was chosen to the second unit by both the coaches and the media.
In 12 games this season the senior defensive end for Northwestern and former Boylan Titan has 46 tackles, 13.5 for loss. He also has three sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery.
He’s been a leader on perhaps the top defense in the Big Ten. Last year Lowry earned all-conference honorable mention.
Northwestern is 10-2 and could very well be playing in a New Year’s Day bowl game.
