There were plenty of debut’s in high school football this weekend, but none literally smaller than Our Lady of Sacred Heart Academy’s football team. The Guardians suited up 12 players in the program’s first football game ever making them the smallest 11-man sanctioned team in IHSA history.
Their debut was a rocky one. Three Sacred Heart muffed punts turned into three touchdowns for their opponent the Madison Trojans. Sacred Heart dropped their opener 64-0.
