Several big name NASCAR racers are losing their rides for next year. Danica Patrick is the latest one.
She has announced on her Facebook page that she is not being retained by Stewart-Haas racing even though her contract runs through next year. She says she’s being dropped due to a ‘New sponsorship arrangement’ for next year.
Patrick has been unable to land a major sponsor. She lost Nature’s Bakery after last year and she doesn’t have one this year.
Patrick has been with Stewart-Haas Racing all six years that she has been involved in NASCAR. Her high-point was earning a Daytona 500 pole. She has seven top-ten finishes, but she hasn’t won a race. This year she ranks only 28th in the points standings.
Patrick also made the following statement on Facebook, “Right now my focus is on the remainder of the 2017 season and finishing the year strong. I have the utmost faith in myself and those around me, and feel confident about my future.”
