Rockford business makes the jerseys for the Stanley Cup Finals

A piece of Rockford will be on display during the Stanley Cup Finals. The jerseys worn by the Vegas Golden Knights and the Washington Capitals were made by a Rockford company.

Exclusive Pro Sports is that company. It’s located in the East Rock Industrial Park near the main Rockford Post Office.

Exclusive Pro Sports has had a licensing agreement with the NHL for 25 years. Employees at the company started turning out the jerseys at 5:30 Thursday morning only hours after the Capitals had clinched a spot in the Finals. The jerseys for both teams were shipped out Thursday afternoon. The company made more than 250 jerseys in all since it has to make both home and road jerseys for each team.

Exclusive Pro Sports makes the regular season jerseys for both the Capitals and the Golden Knights. The company also makes jerseys for numerous other pro sports teams.

In previous years Exclusive Pro Sports has made the jerseys for one team in the Stanley Cup Finals, but to have contracts with both Finals entries is rare.

“It’s awesome we’re doing both,” says Exclusive Pro Sports owner Terry Taylor. “I’m greedy. I want them every year. So it’s no secret we take a lot of pride in servicing our teams in the league. So hopefully we get a lot more in the future.”

Game one of the Stanley Cup Finals will be played Monday in Las Vegas.
