Rockford Christian’s Lavery signs with Taylor University

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Rockford Christian senior basketball player Noelle Lavery has signed a national letter of intent to attend Taylor University in Indiana.

Lavery was named special mention All-State last year by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association.

Taylor University is an NAIA school that reached the Elite 8 last season. Lavery says she likes the school’s Christian emphasis.

“I think it was mostly because of the Christian aspect and then also just because of the campus, the team, the coaches. Pretty much everything about it. It just sold me on it.”

Lavery says she’ll most likely major in Criminal Justice.
