Rockford IceHogs continue their playoff mastery with a sixth straight playoff win

The IceHogs are still perfect for the playoffs. They dominated the Manitoba Moose again Wednesday 4-1 at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

That extends the IceHogs’ playoff record to 6-0. That ties the franchise record set by the old UHL IceHogs in 2007. It also gives the IceHogs a commanding three games to none lead in the series.

For the third straight game the Moose scored first on a second period tally by Julian Melchiori. That would be the only goal IceHogs’ goaltender Colin Delia surrendered. He had 36 saves on the night to raise his playoff record to 6-0.

The IceHogs answered right back midway through the second with goals by Tyler Sikura and Victor Ejdsell. It was the fourth playoff goal for each of them.

In the third period the IceHogs’ added two more goals from William Pelletier and Matthew Highmore for the final score of 4-1.

The IceHogs will try to close out the series on Friday at the BMO.
