Rock Valley College is known for celebrating championships. Wednesday was another one of those moments.
This time friends, family and fans of the women’s softball team gathered at the Student Center Atrium to recognize the softball team’s achievement of winning a third straight NJCAA Division III championship.
Harlem graduate and RVC freshman Olivia Fluehr was the MVP of the national tournament based on her pitching and her hitting.
“It’s a really good feeling especially being with a lot of my friends,” says Fluehr. “This year we’ve grown a lot as a family, and I’m really glad I can have this team as my family it’s really exciting.”
Fluehr says there’s already talk of going for a four-peat.
“Yes we’re hopefully getting one next year.”
