Fred Van Vleet is getting healthier by the day and it showed Wednesday night.
The Rockford Auburn graduate scored 17 points in Wichita State’s 56-50 win over UNLV. Van Vleet made 7 of 15 shots from the field including a pair of three-pointers. He also added four rebounds, four assists and one steal.
Van Vleet was plagued by a bad hamstring and an ankle injury to start the season. He missed four games. The Shockers went on a three game losing streak without him. They have since bounced back with back-to-back wins to even their record at 4-4.
