Wichita State’s NCAA Tournament run has ended with a 65-57 loss to Miami Saturday afternoon. With it the college career of Fred Van Vleet also ended.
The Shockers got off to a horrible start falling into a 15 point hole early. They battled to close the gap to 32-19 at halftime. They eventually took the lead in the second half before losing it and falling short.
The Shockers made only 33.9% of their field goal attempts.
Van Vleet had 12 points (on 4 of 12 shooting) along with five assists and four steals.
The Shockers finished with a 26-9 record.
