Harlem junior Austin Young claimed the championship of the Rockford Boys’ Classic Friday in a playoff over recent Christian Life graduate Mitchell Peterson.
Both golfers had a two round total of 149. Young shot a 73 in Thursday’s first round. He followed that up with a 76 Friday. Peterson rose up Friday with a 72 at Ingersoll after shooting a 77 on Thursday.
