Three women arrested after chase ends at downtown Rockford McDonald’s

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Three women were arrested for disorderly conduct, and one charged with battery, after an argument lead to a car chase that lead from Easton Parkway to the E. State Street McDonald’s/Circle K gas station near downtown Rockford.

Rockford Police say just before 1 p.m., a group of women began arguing on Easton Parkway. One of the women backed up to drive off and hit the car of another woman, who then gave chase.

Police say the women engaged in dangerous behavior as they struck each other with their vehicles as they were driving, finally coming to a stop at the McDonald’s location at 1032 E. State Street.

The first officer on the scene called for backup, which elicited a large police response involving nine squad cars and detectives.

Three women were arrested. Two were charged with Disorderly Conduct, and one with Battery.

The suspects names have not yet been released.
